Welcome to
the Jordanian Society for Occupational Therapy (JSOT).
The JSOT is
the official representative of occupational therapy
students and practitioners and occupational therapy
profession in Jordan. It was established in 2004 with a
mission of maintaining and promoting high standards of
occupational therapy practice in Jordan. In addition,
JSOT aims to ameliorate the working conditions of
Jordanian occupational therapists. Jordan has been a
full member of the World Federation of Occupational
Therapists (WFOT) since 1992.
The JSOT
was founded to serve
the
accomplishment
of several goals such as
promoting the
quality of occupational therapy
services
provided in Jordan through the conduction of training
courses and workshops to occupational therapists.
Establishing codes of ethics for the practice of
occupational therapy, as well as providing consultation
services for institutions that provide occupational
therapy services are other goals that JSOT strives
to meet. The JSOT is also involved in evaluating
academic occupational therapy programs in Jordan against
the WFOT Minimum Standards for the Education of
Occupational Therapists.
